Permanent, Full-time Vacancy for a Bakery Assistant

We have a vacancy for a Bakery Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis within our award-winning Butchers and Pie Makers business in Grange-over-Sands. Bakery experience or experience of working in a food-related environment is desirable but not essential for this role. Full training will be given.


We are a small but friendly team, requiring applicants to be able to work under pressure, use their initiative, and work well alongside other team members.

Duties for this role include but are not limited to preparing and cooking hot fillings, preparing vegetables, mixing dough, forming pie bases and lids, filling and sealing pies, as well as baking pies and pastries for sale daily. This role will also comprise some general cleaning and tidying duties. Some lifting will be required.

The job is a full time, permanent role approximately 40-50 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Salary: Meets National Living Wage
